Rapid, Rapid Fire Moderns Breaking In A New Room

Had the first sort-of game in the basement this afternoon.  Metal Liberation Miniatures versus Esci plastics.  Leopard II's with Matchbox military vehicles up against T-72s, T-55s and Btr-80s.   Didn't get a chance to finish the game but that didn't really matter - it was enough just having a few minutes of 20mm joy.

Summer's here

Kicked off the summer with an outside game of Rapid Fire Moderns on a 12 by 4 table.  Here's some pictures:

Soviet supplied Imagi-nation

I always feel uncomfortable gaming real battles, and I really prefer to avoid anything contemporary.   But, I just love Modern and Post-war equipment and kit, especially Soviet stuff.  "Give me a tank that starts with a T", is what I always say.  Well, not really, but it would make a great T-shirt phrase.

So here is the Soviet supplied force for one of my Imagi-nations.  It is a nice improbable mix of T-54/55's, BTR-80's and Mi 24 Hind D helicopters.  All of the equipment is from Easy Model (which I got very cheap from China) and the figures are a mix of Esci Spetsnaz (which I hope will be re-released one day soon) and Esci Viet Cong.

An Act of Naked Aggression!

Had a great game of Rapid Fire Moderns with Private D a couple of hours ago.   It was super nice gaming with him again, it has been much too long since our last game. 

Well, the invasion of Fraganda has begun.  Several Dannian armoured columns crash across the border. 

Quiet, peaceful Princetown lies in the path of the aggressors.

But it was not enough to break through Princetown's stout-hearted defenders.
