Darth Vader Has Been Captured!

Yes, it is true, Darth Vader has been captured!  I saw it with my own eyes.

It all started because I was obsessing about Stargrunt II again.  Suddenly I was in the garage.  Princess Leia appeared on the table leading three squads of Rebel soldiers.  Across the way Darth and three squads of Stormtroopers are seen.  I roll for qualities:  Rebels D8/Arm.D6/LV1, Imperial D10/ArmD8/LV3, Characters D12.   Instead of the paper markers for Confidence and Leadership messing up the table, I use droids and pebbles.  For Suppression, I turn the Squad Command figure around.  If the unit receives a second suppression the SAW trooper is also turned.   Anyway, Stargrunt II!  Yeah!  A little slow on the Fire Resolution, but very enjoyable. 

Could this be the end of the Empire?

Technical Time

Two Rebel groups turn and battle each other for the prize of entering the last major city still in Government hands.  Rules were AK47 Reloaded slightly modified to suit the situation.  Really the game was just a fun excuse for Private D and I to play with a whole lot of technicals.

Rebellion in the Forest

Had a great fantasy game with Private D. on the weekend.   Wood Elf vs. Wood Elf.  I really like the idea of civil wars in a fantasy realm for some reason.  I am planning a major Dwarf civil war campaign for the Fall.  Anyway, in the Wood Elf game, several bands of disgruntled Wardancers were easily swayed by two power hungry Wood Elf nobles to rebel against the lawful eternal rule of Orion and Queen Ariel.

But the Rebellion was squashed!!  Now life in the Forests of Loren can return to normal.

Kashyyyk again

With phase one of the transformation of the garage from a rat colony to a gamesroom sort of done, it was time to let loose the minis.  First games were all Star Wars ones with The Kid, including this great return to Kashyyyk blast.

      The Droids advance.

      The Jedis gather on the hill.  The clones await order 66.

     Wookies in action!

      Mace does his thing to poor Super Battle Droids again.

Count Dooku leads the surviving Supers against Shaak Ti.                                                      

     Count Dooku and Eeth Koth battle it out.

     General Grievous jumps in to try and finish what Dooku started.

Although in the end Kashyyyk is saved.  Arrrrrrr.  Arrrrrruuuu.

Ahh, Warhammer...

It was nice to play Warhammer again tonight.  Finally had the third game (3000 points) of the Chaos-High Elf series with Prof. Elf.  Was a very fun game.  Although a little long.  Ended up roughly a draw by the end of six turns.  Slight Chaos advantage, truth be known.  Anyway, experimented with the exposure on the camera and it seemed to fit the look of the battle.  

On the floor with no scenary.  I really like this style of gaming.  It also makes the clean-up a lot easier!

Parenting in The Empire

Oh-oh, introduced the joys of the D-20 to The Kid.  It has happily fueled our last couple of Star Wars games.

Glorious Chainmail

I have to do a write-up for a project that I got sucked into, and I just don't want to do it.   Instead played some Chainmail with old Grenadier Dwarfs.
